The Shanghai Stock Exchange will implement revised compilation plans for its Shanghai Composite Index series on October 26, according to CCTV News.
The revised indices include the Shanghai Composite Index, the Shanghai A-Share Index, the Shanghai Free Float Index, the STAR Market Composite Index, and their derivative indices.
The main revisions to the Shanghai Composite Index series include adding a weight cap rule that limits any single constituent's weight to no more than 15%, and adjusting the removal timing for risk-warning securities from "the next trading day after the second Friday of the month following the implementation date of the risk warning" to "the next trading day after the second Friday of the month following the announcement date of the risk warning."
The remaining parts of the index compilation plans remain unchanged.
