ABC Chairman Gu Shu Meets with Bank of England Deputy Governor and PRA CEO Sam Woods

On January 29, Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) Chairman Gu Shu met with a delegation led by Mr. Sam Woods, Deputy Governor of the Bank of England and Chief Executive Officer of the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).

Gu Shu stated that in recent years, ABC has steadily expanded its financial cooperation with the UK. He expressed that the bank will continue to leverage its group advantages to serve economic, trade, and investment flows between China and the UK, as well as market connectivity. Sam Woods noted that ABC's London Branch is operating soundly and affirmed his willingness to continue providing active support for ABC's business development and operations within the UK.

The two sides also exchanged views on topics including the current global economic situation, development trends in the banking sectors of China and the UK, and the application of artificial intelligence. The meeting was attended by heads of ABC's International Finance Department, Internal Control and Compliance Supervision Department, and the London Branch.
