Yum China Holdings, Inc., a member of the World Internet Conference, recently released its 2025 Sustainability Report. The report indicates that in 2025, Yum China achieved steady growth, with comprehensive improvements in store count, sales, and profit margins. In the realm of sustainable development, the company continued to advance its initiatives centered on the three pillars of "Food, People, and Planet."
Regarding food safety, Yum China strengthened its supply chain and in-store food safety and quality control by leveraging a comprehensive management system covering the entire process "from farm to table." This was supported by digital tools such as early warning systems and AI-powered smart cameras. In 2025, the various brands under Yum China launched approximately 600 new or upgraded products to better meet the diverse needs of consumers.
In the area of people-centric initiatives, Yum China continuously gathered feedback from frontline employees through platforms like "RGM Voice," optimizing restaurant workflows. The company also piloted a "One-Stop Service Platform" and an operational intelligence system called "Q睿" to enhance store management efficiency.
On the environmental front, Yum China reduced average electricity consumption per store by approximately 5% year-over-year in 2025. The company's overall use of renewable energy increased by 84% compared to the previous year, while renewable energy usage among its suppliers rose by 37%. Additionally, Yum China formed the "Yum China Value Chain Green and Low-Carbon Alliance" with over 40 key suppliers to jointly promote emission reduction efforts.
Joey Wat, CEO of Yum China, stated that looking ahead, whether it is safeguarding food safety, empowering employees, or driving emissions reductions across the value chain, the company will continue to strengthen the link between sustainable development and business success.
