Samsung Electronics and Union Agree to Resume Bonus Negotiations

The union announced on Tuesday that Samsung Electronics management and its South Korean employee union have agreed to restart negotiations regarding bonuses.

The union represents nearly 90,000 workers, accounting for over 70% of Samsung's domestic workforce in South Korea. Last week, the union voted to authorize a strike, raising the risk of production disruptions at the world's largest memory chip manufacturer.
