According to the latest balance of payments data released by Japan on Wednesday, Japanese investors sold U.S. Treasuries in March, marking the second consecutive month of such sales. In that month, net sales of U.S. Treasuries amounted to 2.2 trillion yen ($140 billion), following net sales of 2.77 trillion yen in February. Additionally, Japanese funds recorded net sales of German sovereign bonds totaling 520.6 billion yen in March, the largest reduction since April 2025.
