Zhejiang Basketball Association: Cangnan Squad Secures Semifinal Berth in Wenzhou Division

The Wenzhou, Huzhou, Shaoxing, Quzhou, and Lishui divisions of the Zhejiang Basketball Association (ZheBA) held seven matches on July 17th. The results from each game are as follows.

The Cangnan team hosted the Pingyang team in the Wenzhou division. Both teams entered the match undefeated with three wins each, making this contest a direct decider for the top spot in the group.

The first quarter was fiercely contested, with the lead changing hands multiple times. After a timeout adjustment, the Cangnan team leveraged smooth ball movement and cuts to build a lead. Pingyang managed to overtake the score in the second quarter, leaving Cangnan trailing at halftime.

Cangnan came out strong in the second half, executing their game plan consistently to reclaim the lead, ending the third quarter ahead 65-58. The final quarter was a tense battle with the margin never exceeding single digits, as players from both sides showed signs of fatigue. In the closing moments, Cangnan capitalized on their opponent's mistakes, scoring five consecutive points to widen the gap and secure a 77-66 victory.

With this win, the Cangnan team solidifies its position at the top of the group and successfully clinches a spot in the semifinals. The schedule for July 18th is as follows (subject to change).
