Newegg Comm Inc. has announced the exclusive launch of the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor in North America, starting today. The product officially goes on sale July 16 with a suggested retail price of $329.

This launch comes at a time when memory prices are broadly rising due to surging demand for AI computing, increasing both the cost and difficulty of assembling or upgrading a gaming PC. Travis Kirsch, Senior Director of Client Product Management at AMD, stated: "With the Ryzen 7 7700X3D, we are bringing AMD 3D V-Cache gaming performance to more gamers, providing an easy entry point to the AM5 platform and flexibility for upgrades for years to come."

The processor is built on the AMD "Zen 4" architecture, featuring 8 cores and 16 threads, with a base clock of 4.0GHz and a maximum boost clock of 4.5GHz. Through the additional cache stacked via AMD 3D V-Cache technology, the processor can store more game-critical data locally, thereby reducing frequent access to system memory and ensuring good performance even when using only a single memory module. The processor comes with 104MB of on-chip cache, supports the AM5 platform and PCIe 5.0, and has a TDP of 120W.

Jim Tseng, Vice President of Product Management at Newegg, noted that this year's rising memory prices have created challenges for many DIY enthusiasts. The 7700X3D includes the 3D V-Cache typically found on more expensive chips, allowing builders to start their system with a single memory stick, which he described as a more cost-effective way to navigate the current market conditions.

To lower the barrier for system building, Newegg is simultaneously launching a starter bundle featuring the 7700X3D paired with a single DDR5 memory stick, with a second memory slot left open for future upgrades. The bundle also includes a Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card, providing a one-stop solution for users needing a discrete GPU. Newegg will host an "AMD Game On" livestream event on July 17 in the Newegg Gamer Zone, featuring live PC builds and modifications by creators, as well as a 5v5 VALORANT tournament.
