At the recently opened Google I/O conference, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai presented a remarkably impressive report card on the company's achievements in the AI era to global developers.
In his keynote, Pichai announced that Gemini App, a core AI product for Alphabet, has experienced explosive growth in monthly active users over the past year. The user base surged from 400 million in May 2025, surpassing the 900 million mark by April 2026. Concurrently, the integration of AI technology with Alphabet's core search business has achieved unprecedented success. The "AI Mode" within search now boasts over 1 billion monthly active users, while the popular "AI Overviews" feature has reached a staggering global user base exceeding 2.5 billion.
This massive user base further solidifies Alphabet's unshakable ecosystem. Pichai highlighted that the company now operates five "super products" with over 3 billion users each, including Google Search, Gmail, Android, Chrome, and YouTube. Furthermore, the number of "golden product lines" with more than 1 billion users has expanded to twelve, covering various aspects of daily life from Maps and Photos to Drive and Calendar.
In the realm of enterprise services and computing demand, Google Cloud also demonstrates formidable dominance. Pichai revealed that over the past ten months, the number of tokens processed per minute by first-party model APIs has seen a year-over-year increase of more than sixfold. The figure skyrocketed from tens of billions at the end of 2025 to approximately 19 billion by April 2026. Currently, more than 375 major enterprise clients have processed over 1 trillion (1T+) tokens in throughput on the Google Cloud platform. This series of breakthrough figures undoubtedly signals Alphabet's comprehensive advantage in AI infrastructure and full-stack product applications.
