Hunan's Recruitment Drive in Guangdong Features a Cutting-Edge Job Fair

Deep News05-18

A recruitment event with slogans like "AI positions offer up to 1 million yuan in annual salary" and "AI robots help customize your job search path" was launched at the Guangdong Science Center on May 16. Titled "Gathering Talents for a Vibrant Hunan," this Guangzhou session is part of Hunan Province's 2026 initiative to boost employment and entrepreneurship for college graduates. A delegation of 300 leading enterprises and key institutions from Hunan, including Zoomlion, Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Group, and Central South University, brought 8,807 high-quality job opportunities. Nearly 10,000 students from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area attended, creating a significant event for talent exchange between Hunan and Guangdong.

Top companies showcased attractive salaries and core positions. At the fair, central and state-owned enterprises, research institutes, and key universities from Hunan set up booths, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine. They offered core R&D roles with competitive compensation packages.

The China Aviation Development Hunan Power Machinery Research Institute presented over 20 core R&D positions aimed at tackling critical technological challenges in the aviation sector, with annual salaries ranging from 200,000 to 400,000 yuan. Outstanding fresh graduates could potentially earn uncapped salaries. "Compensation can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, and combined with Changsha's talent policies, candidates can also enjoy free single-room apartments," stated the institute's recruitment representative on-site. Zoomlion also demonstrated strong commitment, offering specialized negotiations for doctoral candidates and base annual salaries of 300,000 to 500,000 yuan for campus recruitment positions.

Research platforms and universities played a key role in attracting talent. Hunan University extended opportunities to high-level professionals, while the Hunan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine shifted its recruitment focus to emerging fields like medical-engineering integration, artificial intelligence, and equipment development, highlighting a need for interdisciplinary talent.

AI-powered job search services provided precise matching. The Guangzhou session innovatively introduced AI-assisted job search services. On-site AI digital navigation terminals served as handy tools for job seekers: by inputting their professional background and career intentions, the system automatically filtered and matched suitable positions, creating personalized job search routes. Over 8,000 positions were categorized into detailed tags such as AI algorithms, semiconductor R&D, advanced manufacturing, and education/healthcare.

"After entering the keyword 'AI algorithm engineer,' the system directly recommended five highly matching companies," shared Tan Jianwen, a master's student at Guangzhou University. Those who did not find suitable positions could register their information, and the system would continue to push relevant job updates.

Offline support services were also implemented. Human resources departments from cities like Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Yongzhou set up policy consultation zones, offering one-on-one guidance on matters such as household registration, housing, and entrepreneurship subsidies. Hunan introduced a tiered housing security system described as "a bed for job seeking, a room upon employment, and a home for staying in Hunan," complemented by policies like entrepreneurship support funds and talent subsidies to build a full-cycle service system.

The job fair featured dedicated interview and contract-signing areas, with employers committing to providing resume feedback within 10 days and completing hiring confirmations within 15 working days. Additionally, two online service platforms were established, integrating functions such as job matching, subsidy processing, financing connections, and mentor guidance.

Robust policies bolster confidence for youth entrepreneurship and employment in Hunan. To attract and retain college graduates, Hunan has introduced 27 measures to promote high-quality and sufficient employment, offering strong support in five areas: housing, living, entrepreneurship, development, and services. The province covers 40 major industrial categories and has established six trillion-yuan and 17 hundred-billion-yuan industrial clusters, along with five national advanced manufacturing clusters.

The Greater Bay Area, known for its talent concentration and vibrant innovation, is a strategic base for Hunan's talent recruitment efforts. During the event, Hunan signed talent cooperation agreements with several universities in the Greater Bay Area, planning to deepen exchanges in areas such as internships, research collaboration, and成果转化. An official from the Hunan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security mentioned that Hunan will next hold specialized recruitment events in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, using incentives like special subsidies, talent stations, and project funding to attract outstanding talents from the Greater Bay Area.
