A strategic partnership agreement signed in Changsha on August 10 has moved bionic robot "expressions" beyond fleeting laboratory demonstrations.
Whereever Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd. and BlueThink Intelligent Robot (Changsha) Co., Ltd. have officially entered a strategic collaboration. The two parties will jointly pursue technical routes and application scenarios for bionic robot busts and head-face assemblies with active degrees of freedom, aiming to advance the mass production of bionic humanoid head assemblies and explore commercialization pathways for bionic humanoid robots.
For Whereever Technology, this marks a critical leap from "prototype" to "mass production." Headquartered in Hefei, this embodied intelligence company has long focused on robot "emotional expression" and "human-robot interaction," striving to create robots with "vitality" through bionic facial structures, interaction algorithms, and complete systems. Its goal is to enable silicon-based lifeforms to express themselves more naturally, credibly, and with physical presence. Previously, its bionic head-face components were limited to technology validation and small-batch trial production; this partnership with BlueThink Intelligent signals that its products are now formally entering a phase of coordinated mass production with leading manufacturing systems.
From LENS's perspective, this collaboration represents a strategic move from "0 to 1." As a national high-tech enterprise under the LENS group responsible for robot OEM and core intelligent equipment manufacturing, BlueThink Intelligent possesses end-to-end vertical integration capabilities, from raw materials to complete machines, and has established robot production capacity at the scale of hundreds of thousands of units. This is a significant breakthrough for LENS in the bionic robot field, marking the starting point of its business expansion into this sector.
The complementary "genes" of both companies are key to the rapid advancement of the collaboration. Whereever Technology excels in product definition, interaction algorithms, and complete system capabilities, while BlueThink Intelligent holds deep expertise in precision manufacturing, supply chain management, and large-scale delivery. Combining these strengths brings "robots with expressions" from design blueprints to actual production lines, with a clearer path to cost control.
The two companies will leverage their complementary advantages in technology R&D, product definition, engineering validation, supply chain organization, and large-scale manufacturing to conduct comprehensive collaboration on bionic humanoid head assembly, full-size bionic humanoid robots, and related joint solutions. Going forward, Whereever Technology will continue to focus on more natural expressions and vivid interactions for bionic robot head-faces, while coordinating with BlueThink Intelligent to optimize mass production stability and expanding with more ecosystem partners to explore real-world robot applications.
