Deep News11-07

As the "Double 11" shopping season approaches, the Lanzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau has coordinated with over 400 businesses, including major retailers, e-commerce platforms, and commercial complexes, to form a promotional alliance. The initiative aims to boost consumer spending through diverse activities such as integrated oil-and-auto promotions, service consumption incentives, and cultural-tourism collaborations, catering to evolving consumer trends and demands.

The campaign features both online and offline engagement. Local supermarkets, appliance stores, car dealerships, and restaurants are participating in themed promotions like the "Warm Life Season · Meet the Old Street" event at Lanzhou Old Street. Meanwhile, e-commerce platforms and livestreaming hubs are hosting online sales, including JD.com’s "Double 11 Appliances Carnival," encouraging digital sales channels like livestreaming and community marketing. Traditional retailers are also adopting digital tools like apps and mini-programs to bridge online and offline shopping experiences.

Key sectors like fuel and automobiles are targeted with tailored promotions. Sinopec gas stations are offering discounts on high-grade gasoline under the "Double Festival Celebration" campaign. Over 160 auto dealers, including Gansu Penglong Jincheng and Northwest Auto City, are organizing events like SAIC Volkswagen’s "50% Off Online Auto Show" and Yatong Group’s "20th Anniversary Double 11 Sale," featuring subsidies and financing deals to spur big-ticket purchases.

Seasonal promotions focus on winter apparel, home goods, and local specialties, with major stores like Guofang, Wuyue, and CR Vanguard launching campaigns such as "Stock Up for Winter" and "Autumn Shopping with Gifts." The food sector is highlighted through health-themed dining events, including Beijing Hualian’s "Winter Wellness Deals" and KFC’s "Crazy Thursday & Membership Anniversary."

To enrich the shopping experience, the Commerce Bureau is supporting商圈 (business districts) and commercial streets in creating immersive events like themed markets, cultural performances, and interactive activities. Highlights include McDonald’s "Spooky Night Party" and Lanzhou Old Street’s "Autumn Ginkgo Concert."

The bureau has also emphasized fair business practices, ensuring transparent pricing and quality goods, while monitoring market supply and price stability to maintain a trustworthy shopping environment.
