NVIDIA announced on Thursday that it is collaborating with Japanese industrial leaders, including FANUC and Yaskawa Electric, to accelerate the development of robotics and artificial intelligence technologies.

"With AI, robots will become smarter, more adaptable, and more ubiquitous," stated NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang during a media event held in Tokyo.

The day prior, Huang was present at an event hosted by gaming company Sega Sammy Holdings in Tokyo's Akihabara electronics district and later dined at a local izakaya, a traditional Japanese pub.

Huang's visit to Japan has drawn significant public attention. The country is home to numerous leading companies within the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain.

Huang was photographed the previous evening alongside executives from key Japanese supply chain firms, including memory chip maker Kioxia and the CEO of semiconductor equipment manufacturer Tokyo Electron.
