Stock News10-14

According to an announcement from Huaneng Power International, Inc. (00902), in the third quarter of 2026, its operating power plants across China completed on-grid electricity of 113.321 billion kWh on a consolidated basis, representing a year-on-year decline of 9.90%.

For the first three quarters of 2026, the company's operating power plants in China completed on-grid electricity of 312.900 billion kWh on a consolidated basis, down 5.60% year-on-year. During the same period, the average on-grid settlement electricity price for its domestic plants was RMB 467.63 per MWh, a year-on-year decrease of 2.32%.

The decline in overall electricity output was attributable to reduced generation space for the company's units due to crowding out by nationwide renewable energy and hydropower, which led to a year-on-year drop in utilization hours, compounded by a lower installed capacity share of its coal-fired units. In the third quarter of 2026, wholly-owned subsidiary Tuas Power Ltd. in Singapore recorded a power generation market share of 17.20%, down 3.42 percentage points year-on-year. For the first three quarters of 2026, Tuas Power Ltd.'s market share stood at 17.95%, down 1.97 percentage points year-on-year.

In addition, the company adjusted the capacity of certain units. As of September 30, 2026, the company's controllable power generation installed capacity reached 160,900 MW.
