INNOGEN-B completes first patient dosing in Phase Ib adolescent-obesity trial for Efsubaglutide Alfa

Guangzhou Innogen Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (“INNOGEN-B”) reported that the first adolescent patient has been enrolled and dosed in the Phase Ib clinical trial of Efsubaglutide Alfa for obesity treatment, with the procedure completed on 28 July 2026.

The company noted that no safety issues or adverse reactions were observed during the immediate post-dosing observation period.

Management originally targeted July 2026 for trial initiation, as disclosed on 22 June 2026. The on-schedule first dosing marks a key operational milestone in the programme’s early-stage clinical development.

INNOGEN-B indicated that further updates will be provided in line with applicable regulatory requirements, while reiterating that successful development and commercialisation of Efsubaglutide Alfa are not guaranteed.
