The first batch of humanoid robots has officially rolled off the production line at Lingyi Intelligent Manufacturing's Beijing Embodied AI Super Factory. This event marks the commencement of large-scale mass production and delivery for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's inaugural highly automated, full-chain embodied intelligence facility.
Inside the factory, modern production lines showcase comprehensive automation, digitalization, and full traceability capabilities. The joint module production line utilizes force and vision-guided assembly, enabling model changeovers within 15 minutes. The final assembly line employs modular assembly with real-time torque monitoring. An overhead circular test line operates with multiple machines in parallel, achieving 25% energy savings. A U-shaped pilot line, integrated with an intelligent storage system, ensures 24-hour logistics with a picking accuracy rate of 99.99%. Furthermore, the Embodied AI Testing Center has established a comprehensive quality assurance matrix covering electronics, precision structures, environmental adaptability, safety compliance, and reliability throughout the entire development and production lifecycle.
As the first benchmark facility among Lingyi's four global embodied intelligent manufacturing bases, the Beijing Super Factory provides an end-to-end smart manufacturing solution, from core components and joint modules to final assembly and testing. The factory achieved this milestone just two months after its launch on February 9, completing line setup, debugging, and outfitting in a rapid 13-day final push, thereby injecting mass production momentum into the industry's shift from technological breakthroughs to commercial scale.
To address the industry's challenge of difficult mass production despite easier R&D, Lingyi has defined humanoid robot manufacturing standards with "micron-level precision and million-unit consistency." The company is also collaborating deeply with the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center's pilot verification platform, creating a closed-loop system integrating front-end research with back-end production.
"Manufacturing is the crucial test for transitioning technology from the lab to commercial use," stated a supply chain director from the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center. "Lingyi's standardized, large-scale manufacturing system makes it a core partner for deploying our technology and optimizing costs. Our deep, long-term collaboration is accelerating the mass production of advanced models."
It is understood that Lingyi had previously established a robotics company in Beijing's Yizhuang district. The launch of this super factory now serves as a pivotal step towards its goal of becoming a top-three global embodied intelligent hardware manufacturer. Lingyi has established a global delivery network with five key bases: Beijing as the benchmark, the Chengdu-Chongqing region as a support, the Greater Bay Area as a hub, and overseas facilities for extension. The company is collaborating with over 20 leading enterprises and has secured batch ODM orders from multiple North American AI and robotics firms, gaining global recognition for its production capabilities.
According to plans, the Beijing Super Factory aims to achieve an annual capacity of 10,000 units by 2026, scaling up to 20,000 units by 2027 and 500,000 units by 2030. Moving forward, Lingyi will leverage this factory as a core engine, opening up its capabilities in precision manufacturing, global supply chain management, and scenario training. By partnering with industry leaders, the company aims to accelerate the integration of humanoid robots into diverse settings including industrial, commercial, service, and home environments, using robust manufacturing to empower an intelligent future.
With the super factory commencing mass production, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area is accelerating its robotics industry development. The area has introduced a special 10-point policy to support embodied intelligence, created a "Future Robotics Domain" community for secondary development, launched the city's first humanoid robot pilot platform, and now hosts the region's first embodied AI super factory, providing full-chain support from R&D and pilot verification to mass production.
