On May 9, XPeng Group's legal department issued a statement addressing the spread of malicious rumors. Certain social media accounts have reportedly used AI applications to fabricate and disseminate false information, including claims that "eight new energy vehicle manufacturers were collectively summoned for talks" and "three are under investigation for suspected violations," and have included XPeng Group in these fabricated lists, causing severe damage to the company's brand and reputation.
XPeng clarified that, upon verification, the company has not recently received any such so-called "summons for talks" as mentioned in the false information, nor is it under any investigation. "We have already collected evidence against the parties responsible for creating and spreading these rumors and will pursue legal action in accordance with the law," the statement said.
XPeng Group emphasized that it always prioritizes user rights and interests and will continue to work under the guidance of regulatory authorities to provide users with an improved travel experience.
