As a nationally renowned "Green Food Capital," Qiqihar leverages its premium livestock resources to develop barbecue as a signature industry with both brand influence and market competitiveness. Numerous barbecue businesses have flourished here, becoming a vital force in driving consumption and employment. Recently, CCB Qiqihar Branch introduced its first "BBQ Loan," precisely meeting the peak-season needs of a long-established barbecue restaurant and fueling its growth.
"Thanks to CCB's 'BBQ Loan,' we no longer worry about purchasing supplies or paying salaries—now we can focus on growing our barbecue business," said Bao Zhichao, owner of Baoshi BBQ in Longsha District, expressing gratitude for the tailored loan. The restaurant, operating for years, has expanded steadily by combining dine-in services with fresh meat sales through both offline and online channels. Bao planned to upgrade facilities and increase inventory ahead of the peak season to enhance service quality and capacity. However, the substantial upfront costs for expansion, along with pre-season stockpiling of meat, beverages, and other supplies, plus payroll and rent payments, strained his cash flow.
The "BBQ Loan," designed for local barbecue businesses, requires no collateral and offers flexible repayment, effectively addressing Bao's operational challenges. To avoid disrupting peak-season operations, CCB’s account manager provided on-site assistance, guiding Bao through mobile application submissions and financial documentation. The team conducted urgent after-hours inspections of inventory and sales records, expediting the approval process. CCB Qiqihar Branch also activated a "green channel," streamlining procedures—approving and disbursing the 200,000-yuan loan within three working days.
Tailored to the "Qiqihar BBQ" industry, the "BBQ Loan" meets common needs of local barbecue operators: asset-light models, lack of collateral, and short-term, urgent funding. Following this inaugural loan, CCB Qiqihar Branch has received inquiries from over a dozen barbecue businesses, many hoping to leverage this "peak-season capital" to scale up operations.
