Chengdu High-tech Zone Companies Accelerate Global Expansion as Xgimi Technology's Vietnam Factory Rolls Out First Projector

Deep News08-20

Companies in Chengdu High-tech Zone are accelerating their global expansion strategies, with Xgimi Technology Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xgimi") officially commencing operations at its Vietnam manufacturing facility in the My Thuan Industrial Park, Ninh Binh Province. The factory's first projector has officially rolled off the production line.

The $14 million investment facility spans 5.67 hectares with an annual production capacity of one million units. This factory will serve as a crucial component of Xgimi's global supply chain system, accelerating the company's international expansion.

**Vietnam Base Launch: Strategic Response to Global Market Changes**

The Vietnam factory represents Xgimi's strategic response to evolving global trade conditions, benefiting from local corporate income tax exemptions and import-export tariff preferences. Preparation for the Vietnam production base began in 2024, designed to support global market expansion and effectively meet subsequent supply demands, establishing a foundation for penetrating the world's largest consumer electronics market.

Xgimi's overseas business is currently experiencing rapid growth. In 2024, international revenue reached 1.086 billion yuan, representing an 18.94% year-over-year increase and accounting for 31.89% of total revenue.

**International Market Breakthrough: From Product Export to Global Brand Expansion**

In June this year, Xgimi held a product launch event in Paris, introducing the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser projectors (equivalent to the domestic Play series). These products quickly won European consumer favor with their compact design, extended battery life, and multifunctional capabilities.

This represents just one aspect of Xgimi's global expansion strategy. By the end of 2024, Xgimi operated over 6,000 retail locations worldwide, covering major markets including Europe, North America, Japan, and Australia. The company has accumulated 140 international awards, including recognition from prestigious design competitions such as Red Dot and iF Design Awards.

On September 5, Xgimi will make its fifth appearance at the IFA Berlin consumer electronics exhibition, where it will globally debut its professional flagship projector product—TITAN—leading the intelligent display industry's development.

Xgimi's globalization strategy has achieved significant results. By the end of 2024, cumulative global shipments exceeded 7 million units, maintaining the company's position as the global leader in the home projector market. For the first half of 2025, performance forecasts indicate substantial net profit growth of 88.66 million yuan, representing a 2,062.33% year-over-year increase.

To enhance international brand recognition and comprehensive competitiveness, Xgimi is planning a Hong Kong H-share listing. An August 4 announcement stated that the H-share issuance aims to "meet the company's internationalization strategy and overseas business expansion needs." If successfully implemented, this capital operation will provide stronger financial support for Xgimi's overseas expansion.

**Future Strategy: Integrated Business Framework**

While accelerating overseas expansion, Xgimi has established an integrated business framework encompassing "home + automotive + commercial" applications. This diversification strategy opens new growth opportunities for the company.

The automotive sector has achieved breakthrough progress, with business activities including intelligent cockpits and smart headlight systems currently in mass production and delivery.

Commercial market expansion is also advancing rapidly. According to RUNTO Technology data, global projector annual shipments have exceeded 20 million units, with commercial applications accounting for approximately 14%, nearly 3 million units. Addressing current commercial projector pain points such as bulky design, high energy consumption, and expensive maintenance costs, Xgimi plans to launch superior commercial projector products this year.

The company will continue exploring optical technology applications across multiple sectors for future product innovation.

The official launch of Xgimi's Vietnam factory signifies not only expanded global production capacity but also represents the transformation and upgrading of Chengdu High-tech Zone technology companies' globalization model: evolving from simple product exports to comprehensive internationalization of brands, manufacturing, and research and development.

Leveraging Chinese enterprises' supply chain advantages, Xgimi continues breaking down professional equipment price barriers through sustained technological innovation. As Chairman Zhong Bo stated, Xgimi is committed to making exceptional projector performance "within reach."
