Zhou Hongyi Urges 360 to Restructure for AI Era, Emphasizing Leadership-Driven Transformation

On the afternoon of August 17, Zhou Hongyi, founder of 360, released an internal letter titled "Driving Business Innovation and Organizational Reform with Leadership," explicitly stating that during the company's transition to an AI-native organization, managers at all levels are the primary leaders responsible for cultivating super individuals and building super teams. He emphasized that "this is not a routine upgrade of leadership capabilities, but 360's re-entrepreneurship driven by AI."

This internal letter marks a further advancement of 360's "All in Agent" strategy. Previously, Zhou Hongyi had publicly stated multiple times that enterprise AI transformation must start with managers. In the letter, he outlined three clear requirements for managers: vigorously promote innovative change to accelerate breakthroughs in products and services; fully advance organizational restructuring, shifting managers from "approval machines" to "coaches and commanders of super individuals"; and continuously learn and adapt, first evolving themselves into super individuals proficient in AI.

Additionally, Zhou Hongyi demanded that every leader deliver tangible results with their teams: at least promote one AI-driven product or business innovation, at least fully implement one core process rebuilt by AI, and at least produce one substantial achievement completed using AI tools personally. These outcomes will be directly incorporated into the annual performance evaluations of managers.

To ensure the transformation is implemented, 360 will simultaneously launch organizational adjustments: promote a flatter organizational structure, guiding frontline managers to return to individual innovation; accelerate the AI-native transformation of research and development teams; and increase the recruitment of new graduates to foster a younger talent pool.
