As the anticipated September 2026 launch event for Apple draws nearer, an unexpected pricing leak from one of its overseas carrier partners has surfaced online. Vodafone’s backend systems in both Australia and Egypt reportedly showed preliminary price listings for the upcoming foldable model, which is said to be branded as iPhone Ultra. The Australian listing suggests that the device will come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, starting at 3,699 Australian dollars, which translates to approximately 17,881 RMB. Based on these regional figures, industry analysts have estimated that the U.S. version of the iPhone Ultra could see a starting price near 2,000 US dollars, or roughly 13,425 RMB.

When approached for clarification, an Apple customer service representative in China stated that no official notice has been received regarding the device's pricing. The representative acknowledged that there is a lot of unverified information circulating online and advised consumers to wait for official announcements from the company.

As previously confirmed, Apple's 2026 fall event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 9, at 10:00 AM local time, which corresponds to 1:00 AM Beijing time on September 10. This particular event is especially notable as it will serve as the debut presentation for the company's new CEO, John Ternus. The lineup is expected to feature the iPhone 18 Pro series, accompanied by Apple's first foldable device, the iPhone Ultra.
