According to the legal statement, on April 12, 2026, certain internet users publicly spread false information on social media platforms claiming "Wang Shi has been arrested." This was done without any factual basis, official sources, or supporting evidence. The rumor rapidly spread across the internet, leading to speculative discussions and malicious interpretations. The topic became a trending search item, causing widespread public misunderstanding, severely infringing upon Wang Shi's reputation, and creating an extremely negative online impact.
Lawyer Zhou Zhaocheng clarified three key points of fact:
First, the claim that "Wang Shi has been arrested" is entirely a malicious fabrication. As of the release of this statement, Wang Shi's personal freedom is unrestricted, his work and daily life proceed normally, and there is no situation where judicial authorities have taken any compulsory measures against him.
