At the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention, Guo Guangcan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said in a keynote speech that Hefei has formed a complete technology system covering quantum chips, cryogenic refrigeration, measurement and control systems, operating software, and cloud services.

Guo Guangcan said that Hefei, Anhui, is an important global innovation hub for quantum technology, and that over many years it has continued to deepen the industrialization of quantum technology and built an innovation ecosystem that is complete in structure and full of vitality. He noted that the local science and technology enterprise Origin Quantum has continued to advance the iteration of quantum computing technology and its global application. The Origin Wukong series of self-developed superconducting quantum computers, independently developed by Origin Quantum, is one of the core carriers of Hefei's self-controlled quantum computing power.

Relying on a quantum computing cloud platform open to the world, its computing power services have covered 192 countries and regions, with cumulative visits exceeding 55 million and more than 1.16 million scientific research and industrial computing tasks successfully completed. The application scenarios of this computing power have extended from basic scientific research to physical industries such as fluid dynamics, biomedicine, and fintech. In 2024, a domestic research team relied on this computing power to complete the world's largest-scale quantum computing fluid dynamics simulation; in 2025, Hefei's self-controlled quantum computing power was connected to China's financial quantum cloud experimental platform, providing self-controlled and controllable quantum computing power support for more than 300 entities in fields such as finance, aviation, aerospace, and electric power; at the same time, applications developed by the Origin Wukong research team based on this quantum computing power, including molecular docking prediction, drug toxicity prediction, and drug interaction prediction, have effectively empowered precision research and development in biomedicine and improved the efficiency of scientific research and innovation.

Guo Guangcan said that this series of practices has effectively verified the feasibility of large-scale commercial use of quantum computing power and provided a mature practical path for the open sharing and cross-sector integrated application of quantum technology worldwide.
