The exterior construction of JD.com's (JD) new JD MALL in Wuhan's Wangjiawan area has been fully completed. The striking red-and-white facade features the company's mascot "JOY" prominently displayed.
Located at No. 36 Longyang Avenue in Hanyang District, this 50,000-square-meter, five-story flagship store will be JD.com's third super experience store in Wuhan. It aims to become a comprehensive retail destination blending cutting-edge technology with trendy consumer experiences, positioning itself as Hanyang's premier "tech entertainment hub."
The store will offer JD's self-operated products across multiple categories including home appliances, electronics, gaming, and home furnishings, featuring over 200 global brands and more than 200,000 products.
Unlike traditional appliance stores, JD MALL Wangjiawan will feature immersive experience zones for gaming, baking, coffee, and cosmetics. Customers can participate in professional gaming sessions, coffee brewing workshops, baking classes with smart appliances, and makeup tutorials.
The architectural design incorporates Wuhan's historic port culture with modern commercial elements, using "stacking, waves, and rhythm" as design motifs to echo the Yangtze River's flowing imagery.
Interior finishing work is currently in progress, with a temporary exhibition hall scheduled to open on New Year's Day 2026. From December 31, 2025 to January 5, 2026, the store will host a "New Year Shopping Carnival" featuring special promotions, giveaways, and six free experience activities including coffee tasting and gaming tournaments.
Transportation access is convenient via Wuhan Metro Line 4 (Wangjiawan Station Exit C) or bus route 596.
