Beijing Advances Special Campaign to Regulate AI Application Misconduct

To thoroughly implement the special campaign requirements of the Central Cyberspace Administration of China regarding "Cleansing Cyberspace - Regulating AI Application Misconduct," to reinforce the primary responsibility of enterprises, to purify the online ecosystem for AI dissemination, and to promote the healthy, orderly, and innovative development of the local artificial intelligence industry, the Beijing Municipal Cyberspace Administration convened a special work advancement meeting on the afternoon of May 14 at Building C, Xingdi Center in Chaoyang District.

At the meeting, industry experts provided a specialized interpretation of the "Measures for Labeling AI-Generated Synthetic Content," systematically explaining the applicable scenarios, compliance standards, technical specifications, and practical operational requirements for labeling AI-generated content. This offered clear and authoritative compliance guidance for participating enterprises to accurately implement labeling management systems and standardize daily operational practices.

The meeting also reported on typical issues identified during recent local compliance inspections of AI content labeling. All platform enterprises were urged to learn deeply from these lessons, to conduct thorough self-examinations by analogy, to comprehensively investigate and rectify weaknesses in labeling management, and to ensure that all compliance requirements are meticulously implemented and executed effectively.

Furthermore, the meeting outlined plans for the 2026 "Cleansing Cyberspace - Regulating AI Application Misconduct" special campaign. Representatives from over 150 enterprises attended, including registered operators of local generative AI large models and key content dissemination platforms.
