Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced late on October 30 that a fourth tanker had struck a mine and caught fire that afternoon after sailing illegally through the Strait of Hormuz.

The vessel, carrying more than 2 million barrels of crude oil, ignored radio warnings from the Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy and attempted to leave the Strait of Hormuz through an unauthorized shipping lane in the south, according to the announcement.

The Guard said this was the fourth tanker to catch fire in the Strait of Hormuz since the early hours of that same day.
