CSPC Innovation Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 300765) has announced that its controlling subsidiary, Jushi Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., recently commenced a Phase III clinical trial for SYS6010.

The trial is a randomized, open-label, multicenter study evaluating SYS6010 in combination with Enlangsubaizumab as a first-line treatment for driver gene-negative, PD-L1 positive locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

SYS6010 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), developed by Jushi Biopharmaceutical.

The drug is composed of a humanized anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody conjugated to a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload via a cleavable linker.

It works by specifically binding to EGFR receptors on the surface of tumor cells, internalizing, and then releasing its cytotoxic payload inside the cell to exert an anti-tumor effect.

Enlangsubaizumab Injection is a humanized IgG4 variant monoclonal antibody that targets the human programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) and is used to treat malignant tumors in various human organs and tissues.
