Deep News10-10

Recently, East Money Information Co.,Ltd. (SZ: 300059) released its 2026 semi-annual report.

This drew attention to the company's Vice General Manager and R&D Center Director, Cheng Lei, prompting an effort to review his past experience.

Cheng Lei was born in February 1977 and holds Chinese nationality. He graduated from Fudan University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Software and later obtained a master's degree in Software Engineering from Fudan University.

Before joining East Money, he served as a development team member and project manager in the Technology Department of Shanghai Meining Computer Network Co., Ltd., and as Vice General Manager and Technical Director of Global Forex Network.

In December 2007, Cheng Lei joined East Money as Vice General Manager, a role he has held for more than eighteen years.

He has long served as Director of the R&D Center, leading the construction of the company's technical systems during its transformation from a financial information portal to an internet brokerage, and is the technical driving force behind core products such as the East Money app.

According to Tianyancha, he currently serves as a director, Vice General Manager, and R&D Center Director of the company.

On March 4, 2026, East Money announced that Cheng Lei had reduced his holdings of company shares by 2.6 million shares through centralized bidding transactions, accounting for 0.0165% of total share capital, at an average reduction price of 21.15 yuan per share, completing the reduction plan.

Based on this calculation, Cheng Lei cashed out nearly 55 million yuan from this reduction.

According to East Money's 2025 annual report, Cheng Lei's compensation in 2025 was 3.232 million yuan.

The nearly 55 million yuan reduction amount is equivalent to the sum of Cheng Lei's compensation over the past 17 years.

Looking at the timeline of reductions, this was not Cheng Lei's first cash-out. Since his first reduction in September 2011, Cheng Lei has cumulatively reduced his holdings of East Money shares by 15.8158 million shares, cashing out approximately 330 million yuan in total.

In the first half of 2026, the company achieved total operating revenue of 10.505 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 53.22%; net profit attributable to shareholders of 8.064 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.85%; and net cash flow from operating activities of 30.314 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 555.06%.

The pace of Cheng Lei's personal wealth growth alongside the company's performance growth is worth continued attention.
