On the afternoon of May 15, most assets except crude oil were experiencing declines.

Gold and silver prices plummeted sharply. At the time of reporting, international spot gold traded at $4,566.160 per ounce, down 1.79%. Spot silver was quoted at $77.692 per ounce, with a decline nearing 7%.

Asia-Pacific stock markets saw a widespread sell-off. South Korean stocks dropped significantly, with the KOSPI 200 index falling nearly 6%, triggering a circuit breaker. The Nikkei 225 index fell over 2%. The Hang Seng Tech Index dropped nearly 3%, the Hang Seng Index declined close to 2%, and China's three major stock indices also weakened collectively.
