On November 2, Shanghai Airport Immigration Checkpoint and seven other organizations jointly launched CIIE-themed volunteer service stations at multiple locations in Pudong International Airport. These stations provide one-stop "clearance+" services for international and domestic visitors attending or visiting the China International Import Expo (CIIE), covering customs clearance inquiries, transportation guidance, emergency medical assistance, and lost-and-found services.
Immigration officers at Pudong Airport’s terminal service stations offered clearance consultation for foreign CIIE attendees.
To enhance the CIIE’s service quality, the Youth League Committee of Shanghai Airport Immigration Checkpoint took the initiative to establish a "Youth Volunteer Service Alliance" by collaborating with seven other units, including Pudong Airport Customs, Terminal Management Department, Airport Police Station, Security Check, Fire and Emergency Support Department, Xiangxuehai Trading Company, and Johnson Transportation. This alliance integrates previously fragmented port-related services, upgrading CIIE volunteer support from scattered single-point assistance to a comprehensive one-stop model.
Two dedicated CIIE volunteer service stations were set up in the international joint inspection areas of Terminals 1 and 2 at Pudong International Airport, connecting with the airport’s CIIE service center to form a seamless service network covering the entire inbound clearance process. From November 2 to 10, young volunteers from the eight alliance units will jointly staff these stations.
Beyond efficient customs clearance, the volunteers offer specialized services: - **Clearance + Inquiries**: Multilingual officers from Shanghai Airport Immigration’s "100-Member Foreign Language Volunteer Team" provide real-time guidance in 13 languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and German, on immigration policies and procedures. - **Clearance + Transportation**: Assistance includes terminal navigation, public transport options to the National Exhibition and Convention Center, and dedicated CIIE shuttle services by Johnson Transportation. - **Clearance + Emergency Care**: A rapid medical support mechanism has been added to the existing "Green Life Channel 3+2" system, ensuring immediate aid for passengers in need. - **Clearance + Lost & Found**: The service extends coverage to aircraft cabins, restricted port areas, and check-in counters, offering cross-regional retrieval support.
These efforts aim to enhance Shanghai’s gateway image and showcase the city’s hospitality during the CIIE.
