Trump Awarded FIFA Peace Prize: Claims "World is Now at Peace," Democrats Mock as "Happy Meal Toy"

Deep News12-06

On December 5, Donald Trump attended the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw ceremony and was awarded the newly established "FIFA Peace Prize." Before the event, FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented Trump with the 2025 FIFA Peace Prize. Overjoyed, Trump wore the medal himself and declared that the world had now achieved peace.

The moment quickly drew ridicule from Democratic circles. California Governor Gavin Newsom sarcastically referred to it as the "Happy Meal Award" on social media platform X, likening it to a toy included in McDonald's children's meals.

Reports indicate that FIFA announced the creation of the annual "FIFA Peace Prize" on November 5, with the inaugural award presented during the World Cup draw in Washington.

Since returning to the White House for his second term in January, Trump has repeatedly claimed he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, boasting about resolving multiple conflicts. However, he recently stated in an interview that he would "soon" launch a ground strike against targets in Venezuela.
