The Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences recently held a New Year specialty agricultural product exhibition in Fuzhou, themed "Innovation Empowers Science-Industry Integration, Achievements Gather Fujian Science Treasures."
The exhibition aimed to create a comprehensive platform for showcasing achievements, promoting brands, connecting production with sales, and allowing public sampling. It sought to introduce healthy, high-quality "scientific New Year goods" into the seasonal consumer market. Over 400 specialty agricultural products were displayed, all sourced from 118 technology demonstration bases and 34 agricultural industry research institutes established by the academy in recent years. Representative achievements included new high-quality rice varieties like "Fuxiangzhan" and tea plant cultivars such as "Chungui" and "Jinmudan," which have been included in the national promotion catalog.
To bridge the gap between scientific research and consumer markets, the academy launched the "Fujian Science Treasures" brand last year. It has since organized 16 production-sales matching events, focusing on building an integrated ecosystem that connects research and development with production and sales.
