Solana's RWA Transaction Volume Surges Past $58 Billion, Fueled by Tokenized Stock Boom Including SpaceX

According to reports, Solana (HSDT.US) is rapidly transitioning from a high-performance public blockchain into a central hub for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. The second quarter of 2026 saw the trading volume of tokenized assets on the network reach a new all-time high, signaling a fundamental shift in its core value proposition.

This structural transformation is being driven by an explosive surge in tokenized stock trading. The total quarterly transaction volume approached $60 billion, with tokenized stocks alone accounting for $48 billion, a figure that represents a more than fourfold increase from the first quarter.

Monthly data reveals a sharply rising trend: $670 million in April, $871 million in May, and a leap to $3.3 billion in June. A key catalyst for this growth was the public listing of SpaceX (SPCX.US) on June 12th. The tokenized shares of SpaceX, issued via Sunrise and distributed through Backpack, contributed approximately $770 million in trading volume that month. When combined with other assets like Micron Technology, SanDisk, and the Roundhill Memory ETF, the total for June surpassed $1 billion.

Solana now commands a dominant 97% share of the global tokenized stock market, solidifying its absolute dominance within the RWA sector. However, significant divergence is emerging within its broader ecosystem. Data indicates that the network's 'real economic value,' a measure of fees and rewards, plummeted by 43% to $51 million. Decentralized exchange trading volume also declined by 44% to $160.8 billion, though Solana maintained a 32% market share in spot trading.

User activity remains robust, with the network processing 9.8 billion non-vote transactions during the quarter. Institutional capital continues to flow in, with products tracking SOL seeing net inflows of $120 million. The amount of staked SOL reached 427 million tokens, and the stablecoin supply held steady at $16.3 billion.

Analysis suggests that Solana, with its low-cost operations and high transaction throughput, is becoming the preferred gateway for traditional financial markets to access decentralized environments. As RWA adoption increases, its strategic value as foundational infrastructure for on-chain assets is set to become even more prominent, marking a pivotal new phase in the ecosystem's development following the initial DeFi boom.
