Stock News11-04 13:48

Solar stocks extended their afternoon gains, with XINYI SOLAR (00968) rising 9.12% to HK$2.035, FLAT GLASS (06865) climbing 6.72% to HK$5.56, GCL TECH (03800) gaining 6.03% to HK$0.615, and DRINDA (02865) advancing 4.09% to HK$11.97.

On the news front, the solar industry's third-quarter earnings disclosure period has concluded, revealing signs of structural improvement. Eight leading companies in the main supply chain reported a combined net loss of approximately RMB 27.7 billion, though some of these companies are narrowing their losses. Among them, Aiko Solar achieved a turnaround to profitability on a quarterly basis, JinkoSolar reduced its losses by more than 80% quarter-on-quarter, and LONGi Green Energy cut its losses by over 40% quarter-on-quarter while turning its operating cash flow positive in the third quarter.

Additionally, data from the National Energy Administration shows that new solar installations in September reached 13.64 GW for the month, representing a 41.2% year-on-year increase and a 23.6% month-on-month rise.

Yangtze River Securities noted that the solar sector is currently at a "triple bottom" of valuation, institutional holdings, and fundamentals. In the near term, narrowing losses in third-quarter results and anti-involution policies are both expected to serve as catalysts.
