The company announced that its subsidiary, Jinxi Heavy Industry, acquired 3.7535 million shares (approximately 0.74% of issued shares) of Jiangsu Shentong Valve Co., Ltd. (002438) on December 2, 2025, at an average price of RMB 13.85 per share (equivalent to HK$15.24 per share). The total investment amounted to approximately RMB 52 million (around HK$57.2 million), fully funded by internal resources.
Following this transaction, CHINA ORIENTAL now holds 4.05 million shares in Jiangsu Shentong, representing a 0.80% stake and making it the ninth-largest shareholder. The move reflects CHINA ORIENTAL's confidence in Jiangsu Shentong's fundamentals and growth prospects in nuclear power and high-end valve sectors. It also aims to capitalize on emerging industries like nuclear energy, semiconductors, and hydrogen through strategic equity investments.
Meanwhile, Jiangsu Shentong stands to benefit from CHINA ORIENTAL's industrial resources, enhancing collaboration in metallurgy and nuclear power supply chains.
