Fintech company Chime and Invest America officially launched the "Compound Combine" series of events yesterday in Jersey City, New Jersey. This marks the first collaborative financial education community initiative by the two organizations, designed to help American families understand how wealth accumulates over time. Data indicates that currently, fewer than 5% of American children have investment accounts. The Compound Combine series uses an interactive, soccer-combine camp-style approach to vividly demonstrate the importance of early investing. The events also provide resources and hands-on experiences to increase awareness and participation in Trump accounts. A Trump account is a new type of tax-advantaged individual retirement account implemented by the U.S. Treasury and advocated by Invest America, offering a long-term savings vehicle for children under 18 to benefit from the power of compound interest. Luke Pettit, Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions at the U.S. Treasury, attended the event and stated: "Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Mnuchin, nearly 6 million children have already enrolled in a Trump account. The Treasury thanks Chime for helping more families participate in the Trump account program at scale." Invest America founder Brad Gerstner noted: "Chime brings a critical resource to this mission: the trust and reach of millions of everyday Americans. A partnership truly makes an impact when a company invests its own capital into its employees' children's accounts and delivers that message directly to the community." Chris Britt, Co-founder and CEO of Chime, said: "We serve over 10 million members, many of whom are just beginning their investment journey. Chime has already helped families open approximately 130,000 Trump accounts, and this is just the beginning." The Jersey City event marks the launch of the national Compound Combine series, with more events to be held across the United States. Additionally, Chime announced a national partnership with the Council for Economic Education to bring wealth-building curriculum and educational support into classrooms, further advancing Chime's ambitious goal of providing financial education to 10 million people by 2027. Chime is listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol CHYM, with a market capitalization of approximately $7.13 billion.
