Asian Markets Open Higher: South Korean Stocks Surge Over 4%, Gold and Silver Advance

On Monday, Japan's Nikkei 225 index opened 1.5% higher, while South Korea's Seoul Composite Index started the session with a 4.1% gain. Spot gold climbed to around $5,040 per ounce, rising 1.6% during the day. Spot silver broke above the $80 per ounce mark, advancing more than 3%. The yield on Japan's 30-year government bond increased by 6.5 basis points to 3.615%.
