Cathay Pacific Airways (293) Announces Possible Off-Market Share Buy-Back and Circular Despatch Delay

Bulletin Express11-26

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (293) released information regarding its proposed off-market share buy-back. An announcement on 5th November 2025 outlined a planned circular containing details of the buy-back deed, recommendations from the Independent Board Committee, and advice from the Independent Financial Adviser. The circular was initially expected to be distributed on or before 26th November 2025.

However, additional time is required to finalize financial information—including a statement of indebtedness—and to complete both the Independent Financial Adviser’s and the Independent Board Committee’s letters. In conjunction with the upcoming holiday period, the company has secured consent from the Executive to extend the circular’s despatch deadline to 14th January 2026.

The proposed share buy-back remains subject to certain conditions, and there is no guarantee it will proceed. Shareholders and potential investors are therefore advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares or related securities.
