An opening ceremony for the original live-action micro-short drama titled Returning Northward for Miles, Only to Let Splendor Shine, produced by Liaoning Communications University, was recently held at the university's theater.
The series centers on the theme of "returning to the north," telling the story of a Chinese diaspora fashion designer, Lin Yin, who returns to her hometown to start a business. It portrays her dedication to craftsmanship and her efforts to establish a local fashion brand, weaving together career growth and personal emotional journeys. The drama vividly showcases the youthful spirit of a new generation putting down roots in and contributing to the development of Liaoning, embodying distinct contemporary value and humanistic depth.
This production leverages the platform of Liaoning Communications University's AI Audio-Visual Industrial Park and the advantages of its multidisciplinary integration. A renowned director team from the Hongguo platform was specially invited to participate in the creation. Led by the School of Film, the project brings together key talents from majors including Drama, Film and Television Literature, Directing, Performance, Fashion and Apparel Design, and Network New Media to collaboratively develop it. The aim is to produce a micro-short drama that aligns with market trends and maintains high quality.
This drama is reported to be a significant project for Liaoning Communications University in creating high-quality "Liao-style" micro-short dramas, forming part of the "Returning North" and "Northeast Super" series. Moving forward, the university will continue to delve into local themes, producing more warm, heartfelt, and influential artistic works that use the medium of film and television to effectively narrate the story of Liaoning's revitalization and development.
