Three Key Industries Propel Shifang's Industrial Surge in Sichuan

Deep News03-19

Engineers at Sichuan Shifang Lianfei Technology Co., Ltd. are currently installing servos for the "Lanying R6000" tiltrotor aircraft, with test flights scheduled upon completion of assembly. This model, the world's first 6-ton class tiltrotor aircraft, conducted its inaugural flight demonstration in Shifang last year. The successful development of the R6000 signifies China's advancement to the global forefront in cutting-edge tiltrotor aviation technology, breaking long-standing monopolies in the field.

The manned version of the R6000 passed its design review in February, with the research team planning to commence scientific test flights for tilt transition modes in June. The company has already received multiple orders and is accelerating production. According to Sun Liye, Vice President of United Aircraft Group, supporting industries related to this aircraft model are projected to generate over 10 billion yuan in scale within the next decade.

Not far away, at Deyang Xinwangda New Energy Co., Ltd., production lines are operating at full capacity, exceeding rated targets by 110% to 120%, with orders booked solidly for the next three months. The Xinwangda Deyang base, a modern new energy industrial hub integrating R&D, manufacturing, and sales with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, is currently constructing its fourth and fifth-phase production lines. These new lines, expected to be fully operational in the second half of the year, will produce ultra-large capacity battery cells exceeding 500Ah.

Utilizing advanced stacking and cutting technology, the new production lines will improve energy storage efficiency by approximately 20%. Upon completion, the base's production capacity will reach 28GWh, generating an annual output value of 5 to 6 billion yuan. Additionally, Xinwangda is actively expanding its workforce, planning to hire 1,300 to 1,500 new employees, including about 100 technical staff, thereby injecting new vitality into Deyang's job market.

Sichuan Xinmeijia Biomedical Co., Ltd., a leading exporter of fish oil based in Shifang, is focusing on global market cultivation this year. The company has outlined a market expansion strategy, planning to participate in key domestic and international food and pharmaceutical expos in Shanghai, the United States, Spain, and Italy. General Manager Fan Youjun reported that the company has already achieved an output value of 240 million yuan this year, with exports totaling 150 million yuan. Moving forward, Xinmeijia aims to deepen its engagement with both international and domestic markets, leveraging national export trade policies to achieve further success.

The company also anticipates launching finished fish oil capsule products this year to expand its presence in the domestic market. Since the beginning of the year, industrial enterprises in Shifang have been operating at full throttle to secure a strong start. Data from January to February shows that industrial enterprises above designated size in Shifang achieved an output value of 12.3 billion yuan, marking an 11.2% year-on-year increase. Zhang Lu, Deputy Director of the Shifang Economic and Technological Bureau, highlighted that Shifang High-tech Zone, as the city's primary industrial base, recorded an output value of 8.99 billion yuan during the same period, a 10.7% increase, accounting for 73.1% of the city's total industrial output value above designated size.
