A special recruitment fair for family members of employees of Shanghai Shentong Metro Co.,Ltd. was successfully held yesterday. The event, part of the "Building Together" chapter of a series of May Day celebrations, was organized by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions' Service Center for Employees and the Xuhui District Federation of Trade Unions. It also serves as a key component of the "Trade Unions Assist Employment" service series in Xuhui District, aiming to provide high-quality job opportunities and further promote regional employment stability and economic development.
The fair brought together 100 high-quality enterprises offering over 1,800 positions tailored to job seekers' needs. These roles spanned multiple industries and sectors, covering technical and management positions across both traditional and emerging industries, thereby broadening career choices and development opportunities for attendees. More than 1,000 job seekers engaged in face-to-face discussions with employers, leading to 300 preliminary employment agreements.
To better align with the actual needs of employees' family members, preliminary surveys were conducted before the event to gather insights into job preferences, skills, and career expectations, laying a solid data foundation for precise job matching. An on-site career guidance service area was also set up, where professional career advisors provided one-on-one public consultations, offering resume optimization, interview coaching, and career planning advice. Concurrently, featured merchant displays and public convenience services were organized to make the job-seeking process more professional, convenient, and supportive.
A representative from the Xuhui District Federation of Trade Unions stated that future efforts will focus on deepening the "Trade Unions Assist Employment" service brand. This includes leveraging the role of trade unions as bridges and service platforms, continuously innovating employment service models, expanding job-matching channels, and providing more precise, efficient, and caring employment support for various job-seeking groups. Additionally, efforts will be made to strengthen collaboration between government, enterprises, and educational institutions, exploring new integrated approaches for talent development and employment assistance empowered by trade unions.
