Recently, the official version of Apple's iOS 27.2 introduced a "Limit Motion Data" feature designed to prevent apps from triggering ad redirects through phone shaking. Some users reported that after adding Baidu Netdisk to the restriction list, its "shake to open" splash ad could still redirect, sparking questions about whether the app was deliberately circumventing the system restriction.
A person familiar with the matter responded to media that it was not a case of the Baidu Netdisk business intentionally bypassing the feature, but rather that Apple's App Store review process is quite strict and the new version of Baidu Netdisk had not yet passed review. The new version has completed the necessary adaptation, and "users are expected to be able to update to the new version within the next couple of days, possibly as early as today."
According to the source, the adapted version can be properly blocked by iOS's "Limit Motion Data" feature. It is understood that the adapted version will be able to be normally restricted by iOS's "Limit Motion Data" function.
