South Korean President Lee Jae-myung is scheduled to convene a meeting on Monday (the 10th) to discuss the expedited implementation of large-scale investment plans for semiconductor manufacturing facilities and artificial intelligence (AI) data centers.

The meeting, set for 2:00 PM that day, marks the second such gathering since the Lee administration unveiled its "Three Major Super Projects" in late June. These projects outline substantial investments in semiconductor production clusters, physical AI, and AI data centers in regional areas.

According to the South Korean presidential office, the session will address measures to support the swift execution of these investment plans and explore ways to distribute the benefits of these investments across the nation and the broader industrial ecosystem.

Attendees will include Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-shik, Policy Chief Kim Yong-beom, Prime Minister Han Seong-sook, various government ministers, and executives fromSamsung ElectronicsandSK hynix.

A presidential official stated that the meeting will provide updates on the progress of the investment plans and unveil initiatives to secure the electricity and water supply needed for the construction of the semiconductor production clusters.
