AVICHINA Inks Technical Development Pact for Flight Control System Breakthroughs

Stock News03-27

AVICHINA (02357) announced that, in order to enhance efforts to tackle key core technologies for intelligent electric aircraft flight control systems and accelerate the development of such systems for full-tilt intelligent electric aircraft targeting the low-altitude industry, its board of directors approved the signing of a technical development contract on March 27, 2026. The contract involves the company, AVIC Helicopter Co., Ltd. (a non-wholly owned subsidiary), and AVIC Automatic Control Research Institute. Under this agreement, AVICHINA and AVIC Helicopter (as the clients) will commission AVIC Automatic Control Research Institute (as the contractor) to conduct research and development work on intelligent electric aircraft flight control technology in accordance with the contract. The total R&D funding under the contract amounts to RMB 90 million, with AVICHINA and AVIC Helicopter each contributing RMB 45 million. The scope of R&D requires AVIC Automatic Control Research Institute to conduct studies on intelligent electric aircraft flight control technology based on the contract terms and the requirements of AVICHINA and AVIC Helicopter. This includes delivering an overall conceptual design, a detailed overall design, and key system solutions according to the project schedule, completing the trial production and flight testing of a verification platform, and finishing principle research and flight test validation for the flight control system of the full-tilt aircraft. Aerospace and the low-altitude economy have become emerging pillar industries at the national strategic level. Vigorously developing and actively advancing the creation of flight control systems for full-tilt intelligent electric aircraft aligns with the core demands of upgrading the aerospace and low-altitude economy industries and fits the long-term strategic layout and development direction of the group. AVICHINA, AVIC Helicopter, and AVIC Automatic Control Research Institute plan to jointly establish an unincorporated R&D platform to pool resources and advantages from all parties, leverage synergies, and build a foundation for the R&D, verification, and industrialization of intelligent electric aircraft flight control technology. Conducting technical development cooperation under this framework will help strengthen the攻关 of key core technologies for intelligent electric aircraft flight control, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and positively impact the group's ongoing efforts to enhance its core competitiveness and strategic positioning in the aerospace and low-altitude economy sectors.
