First Quarter Sees Over 100 Billion Yuan in Import-Export Volume from Sichuan's AEO-Certified Firms

Deep News05-10

Data released on May 9th shows that in the first quarter of this year, the number of AEO-certified enterprises in Sichuan Province increased to 92, with their total import and export value reaching 109 billion yuan. This figure accounts for nearly half of the province's total foreign trade volume. The AEO certification, often referred to as a "green pass," is becoming increasingly significant.

AEO certification, which stands for "Authorized Economic Operator," represents the highest level within China's customs enterprise credit management system. It is also recognized as the top credit qualification by customs authorities in numerous countries worldwide. This status grants certified companies substantial trade facilitation benefits, including expedited customs clearance, lower inspection rates, and priority handling when conducting business with countries and regions that have mutual AEO recognition agreements with China.

"The AEO qualification has provided us with tangible benefits in customs clearance," stated a relevant business department head from Sichuan Changhong Holding Group. The company has seen its export goods clearance efficiency improve by over 15%, which has strongly supported the precise delivery of orders to markets such as Europe, America, and ASEAN. As a benchmark for manufacturing transformation in Sichuan, Sichuan Changhong Holding Group has a robust demand for exporting its technological products. Mianyang Customs, under Chengdu Customs, utilized "enterprise credit" profiling to develop tailored "one-on-one" cultivation plans, assisting several subsidiaries under the Changhong Group in efficiently obtaining AEO certification.

In recent years, Chengdu Customs has focused on key industry leaders and specialized, sophisticated, distinctive, and innovative foreign trade entities. It has established a gradient cultivation list comprising 31 enterprises, implementing a dedicated model of "one file per enterprise" and "one policy per enterprise." With this refined support, Sichuan added 2 new AEO enterprises in the first quarter, bringing the total to 92, thereby continuously expanding the province's foreign trade credit echelon.

Simultaneously, Chengdu Customs has actively aligned with Sichuan Province's "Hundred Enterprises Leading, Thousand Enterprises Upgrading" initiative for cultivating foreign trade entities. By breaking down inter-departmental information barriers, it has promoted the effective implementation of cross-departmental joint incentive measures. Currently, Sichuan's AEO enterprises not only enjoy customs clearance facilitation but can also benefit from over 40 joint incentive policies simultaneously across multiple departments, including market regulation, taxation, and finance.
