Shares in the Hong Kong oil and gas sector demonstrated strength during the morning session, with SHANDONG MOLONG (HKG: 0568) seeing a notable rebound.

The stock rose over 17% in early trading, following a significant decline of nearly 18% in the previous session. At the time of reporting, the share price was up 14.83%, trading at HK$6.35 with a turnover of HK$495 million.

The sector's positive performance coincided with a recovery in international oil prices, where Brent crude futures briefly surpassed the $93 per barrel level.
