On May 17th, Taobao Flash held its inaugural City Rider Festival. In his opening address, Taobao Flash CEO Lei Yanqun stated, "Being a city rider is not just a simple job of delivering food or running errands; it is a new profession worthy of recognition, visibility, and development. It requires not only present security but also future prospects."

At the event, Taobao Flash announced the launch of the "Orange Heart Plan 2.0," which involves further increased investment and a comprehensive upgrade to the rider protection and career development system. It is understood that the "Orange Heart Plan" was jointly launched by Alibaba and Ant Group along with over 20 affiliated brands. The initiative focuses on rider protection, incentives, and development, with a series of measures including comprehensively strengthening rider safeguards, increasing incentives for acts of kindness, enhancing support for riders in difficulty, and providing additional assistance for the education of riders and their children.

Data shows that from January to March this year, Alibaba's instant retail revenue increased by 57% year-on-year. Taobao Flash's order volume and market share have seen significant growth, with overall order volume reaching 2.7 times that of the same period last year, and non-food retail orders tripling compared to the previous year. In terms of instant logistics, Taobao Flash has over 10 million active riders annually, creating more than one million new employment opportunities.
