Freshpet's stock surged 5.02% during intraday trading on Monday, propelled by the company's release of robust fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The pet food maker reported Q4 diluted earnings per share of $0.64, a substantial beat compared to the FactSet consensus estimate of $0.39 and a 77.8% increase from $0.36 per share a year earlier. Net income for the quarter jumped 86.6% to $33.8 million, while net sales reached $285.2 million, representing an 8.6% year-over-year increase.
For the full year 2025, Freshpet achieved a milestone by surpassing $1.1 billion in net sales for the first time, with a 13% growth rate and positive free cash flow of $12.4 million. The company also provided an optimistic outlook for 2026, forecasting net sales growth of 7% to 10% and adjusted EBITDA in the range of $205 million to $215 million.
