SICC Publishes 2025 ESG Report: 180,073 tCO₂e Emitted, 37,505 MWh Green Power Consumed, Zero Workplace Injuries Recorded

SICC released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, covering operations from 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025 and prepared under the latest HKEX and SSE sustainability guidelines.

Environmental Highlights • Total greenhouse-gas emissions reached 180,073.59 tCO₂e, comprising 89.90 tCO₂e (Scope 1) and 179,983.69 tCO₂e (Scope 2). • Electricity usage totalled 320,426.72 MWh, of which 37,504.51 MWh (11.70%) was certified green power. • Water withdrawal amounted to 1.77 million t, while wastewater discharge stood at 1.26 million t. • Hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated were 870.09 t and 767.43 t respectively; packing-material consumption was 51.67 t. • Both Shandong and Shanghai smart-factory bases are ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified; the Shanghai rooftop PV array and green-power purchases supported the company’s first-year SBTi commitment.

Social Metrics • The workforce numbered 1,303, of which 84.73% were male; employee turnover was 12.60%. • Average training time reached 15.84 hours per person, with 94.24% coverage; four new-employee cohorts completed the “mandatory ESG orientation”. • R&D staff totalled 179 (37.43% holding a master’s degree or above); 64 new patent applications and 19 grants were filed, lifting the cumulative portfolio to 615 granted rights. • No work-related fatalities or injuries and 100% occupational-health examination coverage were reported. • Community contributions included RMB0.15 million to the Shandong Integrated Circuit Industry Association and HKD0.10 million to Hong Kong fire-relief efforts.

Supply Chain and Innovation • The qualified supplier base expanded to 1,007, with 158 suppliers certified to ISO 14001; 32 training hours on social-responsibility topics were delivered to 168 supplier representatives. • Industry collaboration advanced through participation in 11 national and two industry standards and through co-organisation of climate-pricing forums.

Governance and Compliance • The board convened nine meetings with full attendance; four special committees oversee strategy, audit, nomination and remuneration. • No cases of corruption, litigation or regulatory penalties occurred during the year. • SICC received the “2025 Best ESG Practice Award for Listed Companies” and multiple technology honours, including Bosch’s Global Supplier Award and the Top-10 Advance in China’s Third-Generation Semiconductor Technology.

Strategic Outlook The report confirms accelerated adoption of large-diameter SiC substrates, completion of full carbon-footprint verification for 6-inch and 8-inch products, and strengthened scenario analysis for both 1.5 °C and 4 °C climate pathways, aligning operational resilience with global low-carbon transitions.
