To accelerate the deep integration of new productive forces in the healthcare sector, the "2025 AI+Healthcare Innovation Application Competition and Preventive Medicine Innovation Forum" was held in Shanghai from November 1 to 2. The event, guided by the China Association for Science and Technology Finance and co-organized by Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Holdings Co.,Ltd. and Alibaba Cloud, among others, served as a high-profile platform to showcase cutting-edge technologies and foster collaboration among innovators in AI-driven healthcare.
Themed "AI Empowers Medical Innovation, Innovation Drives Future Health," the competition marked the first application of the "AI+" initiative in the healthcare sector. It aimed to explore AI innovations in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and health screening while bridging the gap between research, industry, and clinical practice. Over 300 projects from universities, research institutions, and tech enterprises nationwide participated, covering areas such as intelligent diagnosis systems, telemedicine, drug development acceleration, personalized treatment, medical imaging analysis, and smart health management.
Meinian Onehealth collaborated with authoritative institutions, including the Shanghai Jing'an District government and Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment Co., to establish a cross-disciplinary evaluation platform. During the opening ceremony, Meinian Chairman Yu Rong outlined the company’s strategic vision for "AI+Health Management," while President Xu Tao unveiled the "Meinian AI Innovation Needs" initiative to drive real-world technology adoption.
The competition featured a dedicated "Meinian Innovation Needs Matchmaking Session," facilitating one-on-one discussions on procurement, data asset utilization, and industry-finance collaboration. This model not only assessed participants' technical and commercial capabilities but also reinforced Meinian’s commitment to integrating industrial resources and advancing AI healthcare innovation.
The event gathered government, academic, and industry leaders to discuss AI’s transformative role in healthcare. Keynote speakers included Zhang Weixing, Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology Finance; Dai Minmin, President of Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment Co.; and Jia Weiping, Director of the Shanghai Diabetes Institute. They emphasized the importance of financial support for AI-driven medical innovations and Shanghai’s role as a hub for biotech and AI convergence.

He emphasized Meinian’s nationwide service network and its vast real-world health data platform, which includes millions of early cancer screening records and billions of diagnostic imaging data points. Yu also announced Meinian’s three core offerings for participants: open operational scenarios, secure data resources, and a professional industry ecosystem.
In a keynote speech, Meinian President Xu Tao detailed the company’s five AI innovation priorities: 1. Healthcare large models and intelligent agents for disease screening and chronic disease management. 2. Key discipline development and innovative products, focusing on AI applications in eight core areas, including ultrasound intelligence and brain science. 3. Real-world data platforms for disease risk prediction and health trend analysis. 4. AI-driven operational efficiency enhancements across customer service, products, and medical processes. 5.
