Shenzhen Edge Medical Co., Ltd. (EDGE MEDICAL-B) released its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026.
Financial Performance • Revenue jumped 113.8% year on year to RMB 319.32 million, driven by rapid uptake of surgical robot systems across domestic and overseas markets. • Gross profit doubled to RMB 204.63 million; gross margin improved to 64.1% from 62.8% a year earlier, reflecting stronger cost controls and scale benefits. • Net loss narrowed sharply by 78.4% to RMB 19.25 million; basic and diluted loss per share decreased to RMB 0.05 from RMB 0.25. • R&D expenses contracted 44.2% to RMB 53.84 million; selling and marketing expenses rose 49.1% to RMB 87.46 million on intensified overseas promotion. • Cash and cash equivalents expanded to RMB 1.26 billion, bolstered by HK$ 1.29 billion in net proceeds from the January 2026 Hong Kong IPO and over-allotment option.
Operational Highlights • 58 surgical robots were installed or delivered during the period (9 in China, 49 overseas), lifting cumulative global installations to 158. • Overseas revenue contributed 69.8% of total revenue, underpinned by deployments in Brazil, Poland, Italy and Hungary. • The company’s Edge Multi-Port and Single-Port Endoscopic Surgical Robots have been approved or registered in 63 countries and regions; cumulative robot-assisted procedures in China exceeded 21,600 by 30 June 2026.
Capital Management • Gross IPO proceeds totaled approximately RMB 1.24 billion; share capital rose to 391.88 million shares. • During June 2026, the company repurchased 1.82 million H shares for HK$ 68.00 million, which are held as treasury shares. • Gearing ratio declined to 7.0% (31 December 2025: 13.5%) and current ratio strengthened to 19.5 (31 December 2025: 8.1).
Outlook Management plans to deepen domestic hospital penetration, accelerate overseas commercialization, advance R&D—particularly in AI-enabled surgical robotics—and maintain disciplined cost control to pursue sustainable profitability.
The Board did not declare an interim dividend for the period.
